IIC Achieves ISO 9001:2000 Certification
Company Successfully Completes Transition to New Standard
11/22/03 Poughkeepsie, NY - Indotronix International Corporation (IIC) today announced that they have successfully completed registration of their Quality Management System (QMS) to the new ISO 9001:2000 standard. IIC's quality registrar, BSI Management Systems, certified IIC's registration to the ISO 9001:2000 standard at the conclusion of an extensive transition assessment audit. By completing transition to the new standard, IIC has demonstrated their commitment to meeting the highest international standards for quality assurance. Prior to transition to the new standard, IIC had been registered to the ISO 9001:1994 version of the standard since June 7, 1994.
IIC’s ISO 9001:2000 registration (BSI certificate #: FM 69749) applies to the QMS governing all IIC-managed software development activities, including the design, development, testing, and maintenance of application and systems software. IIC specializes in client/server and Internet/intranet technology, database design, graphical user interfaces, web design and development, electronic transaction processing, and multi-platform portability.
In announcing registration to the new standard, IIC President and CEO Babu Mandava stated, “Our registration to the ISO 9001:2000 standard sends a clear message to our employees, our clients, and to prospective customers that we remain committed to delivering the highest quality software possible.” Mr. Mandava further stated, “Registration to the new standard is the first in a series of steps we are taking to demonstrate this commitment. We are also under assessment for CMM Level 4 certification at our offshore software development facility and we are implementing plans to achieve CMM Level 4 certification for our domestic software development operations within the next two years.” Mr. Mandava concluded, “Our commitment to these quality initiatives is essential to accomplishing our goal of delivering defect-free software while achieving 100% customer satisfaction.”
