• Will be a part of the Back End “Core Services” team that supports all commonly used technologies for the back end development teams
  • GraphQL service gateway
  • Test automation framework- moving to Ka***
  • Non-functional testing
• Responsible for Integration of automation testing framework to CI/CD pipeline
  • This team owns all automation frameworks for the back end teams
    • Currently al; automation frameworks are existing and they are looking to add another next year

Top Skills:

• 5+ years of testing experience
  • Specific API focused testing experience and testing RESTful API’s
  • Knowledge of API test flow logic
• 2+ years of automation experience
  • Must have experience with Ka*** automation framework
• Strong understanding of OOP
  • Coding experience with Java, Shell, or Python
• Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and overall DevOps concepts
• Strong Communication skills
  • Because you will be matrixed within another development team, you need to be able to hold your ground, communicate concisely, and be self-sufficient.
• Knowledge of Git repositories 
• Experience testing in GraphQL is nice to have

Job Description:

Basic expectations: { this is an API automation test role, zero to little FE testing is needed, a candidate should be 100% comfortable testing and automating at an API level}

• Responsible for designing and developing automated API test scripts to support application testing. 
• Actively looks for solutions to automate test cases early in the test life cycle using Ka*** Automation framework.
• Drive identification, design and delivery for technical solutions (Ka*** Automation framework, tests, API hooks, tools) increasing test effectiveness and coverage, while reducing the cost of test execution.
• Implement metrics, analyze test data and results to identify patterns, report on risk status to development partners, and influence software quality.

• The automation developer performs analysis of manual test cases and functional requirements and determines the balance of test coverage to be automated for reuse.
• Responsible for all functional and non-functional testing including mocking and performance testing using Ka*** Automation Framework.
• This person gathers information from the project team, designs, develops, unit tests, debugs, executes automated test cases and prepares reports.
• The automation developer will document results and facilitate review meetings with project team stakeholders.
• Responsible for documenting test methodology to ensure the delivery of quality products.
• This person works on multiple programs/systems/applications as a project team member.
• The automation developer is considered a subject matter expert in the area of test case automation. 

Additional expectations for our SDET role:

• API testing experience (3+ years)
• Working knowledge of an IDE
• CI/CD knowledge and hands on development experience
• Demonst***d coding experience 2 years (Java, Python, Shell, etc.)
• Working knowledge with git (or another code repository tool)
• Use of a Rest Assured test framework
• Performance testing experience and knowledge (not just executing previous developed perf tests also creating and designing tests)
