Title: DevSecOps Architect
Location: San Antonio, TX
Will be a Hybrid role in San Antonio, TX. 4 days on site, 1 day remote
Duration: 6 month contract, potential to extend
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive solution architecture in strong collaboration with team to develop a consistent and secure architecture for the product?
- Designs and proposes DevOps solutions to enable the automation of continuous integration, continuous delivery, continuous testing, and continuous monitoring in accordance with the flow of work identified in a solution-level design, amplifying the feedback loop
- Ensure all parts of the product technical design of services are correctly incorpo***d
- Define development of tools and environment for the architect
- Design and effectively implement product architecture in alignment with enterprise, solution, and systems architect
- Create Application and Integration principles, patterns, and design best practices
- Collabo*** with Agile teams and Solution Architects within their solution train and across the supply chain to elabo*** the solution, validate technology assumptions, evaluate implementation alternatives, and converge on the final solution
- Review project/team goals for correlation to our clients business and technical capabilities
- Assist with the identification of overlapping projects or products for the same capabilities
- Assist with the review of products and platforms, to ensure they're following our clients strategy
Minimum and Additional Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and professional experience related to the position
- Architecture or technical team lead experience, preferably fulfilling an infrastructure or environments management role on a major systems delivery program
- Solid experience with Application and Integration Architecture domains
- Solid technical background in implementing DevOps tools
- Strong DevOps knowledge: continuous integration, continuous delivery/deployment, continuous testing, infrastructure-as-code frameworks, application release automation tools, IaaS and PaaS technologies etc.
- Thorough grasp of Agile and lean delivery concepts and methodologies, and a history of successfully applying this knowledge to manage technical teams
- Good understanding of how an IT operations department is typically organized and the role that it plays within a large organization
Preferred Qualifications:
- Leads technical teams that cover one or more of the following disciplines: deployment and configuration management, release management, technical cutover, environments management and infrastructure automation
- Architects the deployment pipeline; the set of technical and business assurance activities that support the transition of application and infrastructure services from development through to production
- Liaises with development teams, IT service groups and vendors to encourage process transparency, mutually beneficial design and delivery practices, and a clear view of roles and responsibilities across the deployment pipeline
- Iteratively migrates selected systems to the DevOps model Drives adoption and defining best practices for DevOps tools
