Weekly Mileage:  250-350 per week

Job Description:  
  • As a Field Engineer 4, you will work in a highly directed environment.
  • Your assignments will include repair activities such as replaceable unit swapping, image loading, and unit testing using a detailed script.
  • You will also perform other non-troubleshooting duties.
  • Direction will be provided by script, help desk or service desk in a Next Business Day (NClient) and/or Same Business Day (SBD) service delivery environment.


Responsibilities:
  • PLS Support for calls such as Dell ClientTransformation Services calls, installing and servicing PCs, and PC peripherals and/or electronic equipment
  • Takes service calls and performs incident specific activities as directed by Help Desk, Service Desk or script
  • May perform routine installs, moves, adds and changes as part of a directed team, including:
    • Complex desktop and laptop break fix work
    • Whole unit replacement
    • Simple desktop printer fixes
    • Load software with a script


General Job Information:

  • Candidate will be taking PC hardware break fix calls at various locations.    
  • Must have reliable transportation.    
  • Must be able to pass drug and background screening.    
  • Must be able to complete required product training.

  8. If your car breaks down, what is your backup plan forgetting to work or traveling to a customer to provide services?  (Uber, Lyft or public transportation are not acceptable as a backup plan.)
  9. Occasionally you may be required to work beyond the end of your planned shift (for example, to work past 5:30 pm). Are you willing to work late on short notice? (Overtime compensation will be provided as required by local, state, and federal law.)

  12. Obtaining Dell computer certification is a requirement for this position. These certs will COST you NOTHING, and are done after the interview (if you are selected) on your own computer at home, open book. Evidence of certification must be submitted before a job offer is extended. You will be given roughly 3 business days from the date you are selected as a final candidate to complete the Dell certifications.
