Individual needs to have deep expertise on the Oracle Cloud HCM platform including the following modules/technology: Compensation, Talent Profile, Talent Review, Talent Pools, Succession Planning, Development Planning and Performance Management.

The Principal Data Engineer will be focused on the support of existing and development of new custom reports in the Oracle Cloud HCM platform using BI Publisher. Job duties for the Engineer will include: partnering closely with technology team members and clients to refine requirements and solution st***gy for reporting related to the Talent and Compensation modules within Oracle, building custom reports using BI Publisher, assisting and participating in the testing throughout implementation, documentation and knowledge transfer to support reports post go-live.

Ideal background:

  • The background does not need to be specific to the healthcare industry - experience/required skills is more important.
  • Were looking for someone ideally who has experience with large employers similar to UHG, with at least 4 years experience with BI Publisher report building as well as OTBI.
  • We require deep Oracle HCM experience, but more specifically BI Publisher knowledge, as this individual is the only person delivering the work outlined in their job duties - it is essential that they can do this work independently based on their prior experience.


Top Skills:

  • Minimum 4 years experience developing reports in Oracles BI Publisher,
  • highly skilled at consulting with client and other technology team members on reporting recommendations and solution design for new reporting needs,
  • and Expert within the Oracle Cloud HCM application modules

  • Extensive Oracle Cloud HCM experience, specifically in the area of BI Publisher but more broadly in having deep knowledge of the product overall, in particular the Talent and Compensation modules.
