Job Title: AWS Cloud Network Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced AWS Cloud Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our AWS cloud network infrastructure. This position requires expertise in networking principles, AWS services, and a strong understanding of cloud security.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Network Design and Architecture:

Design and implement scalable and secure AWS cloud network architectures.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into network solutions.

AWS Networking Services:

Implement and manage AWS networking services such as VPCs, Route 53, Direct Connect, VPN, and Elastic Load Balancing.

Configure and optimize network performance, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.

Security and Compliance:

Implement and maintain security best practices for AWS cloud environments.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to cloud networking.

Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting:

Set up and configure network monitoring tools to ensure the health and performance of AWS cloud networks.

Conduct troubleshooting and resolve network-related issues in a timely manner.

Hybrid Cloud Connectivity:

Design and implement solutions for hybrid cloud connectivity, including connections between on-premises data centers and AWS.

Network Automation:

Develop and maintain automation scripts for network provisioning, configuration, and optimization.

Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) principles for network resources using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.

Collaboration:

Work closely with other IT teams, including DevOps, Security, and Application Development, to ensure seamless integration of network solutions.

Collaborate with external vendors and service providers for network-related services.

Documentation:

Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for AWS cloud network configurations, designs, and procedures.

Provide knowledge transfer and training to team members as needed.

Incident Response and Support:

Provide support for incidents related to AWS cloud networking.

Participate in on-call rotation for timely response to critical network issues.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Network Engineer with a focus on AWS cloud environments.

In-depth knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security principles.

Hands-on experience with AWS networking services and tools.

Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.

Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and tools.

AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty certification is a plus.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
