Quality Assurance Analyst

The client will not be providing equipment. It is expected, per the program, that the firm will provide the necessary and properly secured equipment needed to perform the job.

As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will collaborate with client and NYSDOH team members to assist with the Health Home Re-designation process. Your day-to-day role as a consultant will be providing quality assurance and quality improvement support including but not limited to policy and procedure reviews, patient chart reviews, documenting findings, and developing and reviewing comprehensive re-designation final reports for all health homes across New York State.

Job Duties:

Review and evaluate assigned health home policies to determine compliance based on state and federal policy requirements

Review and evaluate assigned health home charts to determine compliance based on state and federal requirements.

Document review findings utilizing the processes provided.

Prepare for and attend internal meetings to discuss review findings.

Conduct Quality Assurance reviews on completed charts to ensure accuracy of data collected.

Maintain internal resources utilized during the re-designation process.

Synthesize and summarize data obtained from the Case Management Agency survey.

Review and prepare audit tools for upcoming designation reviews.

Analyze current processes and procedures to develop recommendations to increase efficiency.

Collaborate with technical advisors to develop enhancements to audit tools and technology.

Develop training materials to educate state agency staff on new processes and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, Healthcare with at least 2 years of related experience is required. An equivalent combination of advanced education, training, and experience will be considered.

Required Skills:

Working knowledge of Health Homes Redesignation program, including a good understanding of the redesignation process and requirements.

Experience working with eMedNY, CANS-NY, UAS-NY, Medicaid Health Homes, Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MMCOs), or other related systems/programs/organizations.

Process oriented and results-driven work strategy.

Experience with multiple Electronic Health Record applications.

Ability to work with and relate to staff and demonstrate active listening skills.

Ability to work well independently and within a team.

Exceptional Customer Service relationship techniques, including superior verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
