Not looking for Business Continuity
In-depth knowledge of DR planning across various technical domains:
Networking (firewalls, load balancers)
Active Directory and Exchange
Applications, databases, and computer systems
Storage systems and data backup/recovery
Speak the language (Very technical level)
Certification are important :CBCP or MBCP
Customer-facing experience
Interacting with Customers
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects effectively
Strong time management skills
Cloud experience a plus
 
 
JOB TITLE:
 
Disaster Recovery Senior Consultant
 
MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important):
 
• Minimum 5 years experience providing customer-facing Disaster Recovery consulting professional services, including:
* Excellent communication skills with customers including well-developed professional written and oral communications
* Leading technical meetings with customers to assess, review, and develop DR strategies, runbooks, and test plans
* Ability to lead technical meetings with customers for DR planning on a wide variety of technical topics, including but not limited to: general networking, NTP, DDI, firewalls, load balancers, Active Directory, Exchange, applications, databases, compute, storage systems, data backup/recovery, etc.
* Ability to communicate effectively with technical SMEs and management
• 10+ years experience overall in all Disaster Recovery elements, including:
* Perform Business Impact Analysis for processes and all dependencies
* Perform Risk Assessments for data centers, SaaS vendors, cloud environments, and other DR resources
* Design, development, and documentation of all elements of technical disaster recovery plans
* Develop DR runbooks
* DR architecture design
* Recommend and develop DR strategies and options
* Coordinate and facilitate technical DR plan exercises
* Write After Action Reports, DR Assessment reports, Gap Analysis reports, and other technical reports
• Demonstrated ability to report disaster recovery project status to senior management
• Minimum 5 years writing detailed technical reports and supporting documentation
• Scheduling and leading technical interviews with both business users and technical teams
• Demonstrated customer-facing consulting skills (written and oral)
• Demonstrated history of managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Demonstrated experience identifying, collecting, organizing, analyzing, and reviewing pertinent information
• Demonstrated ability to develop professional reports and metrics to customers
• Demonstrated experience creating and presenting executive reports across multiple organization leadership levels
• Must be a leader and a productive team player
• Strong PC skills in an enterprise environment (Microsoft Office, Time Tracking for Billable hours, Slack, Gmail, etc.)
 
DESIRED SKILLS:
 
• Provide subject matter expertise to management and business functional areas in an advisory capacity
• Support sales by developing Statement of Work and pricing for new projects
• Prior use of business continuity planning software to develop / maintain plans
 
JOB DUTIES:
 
The Disaster Recovery Senior Consultant will be responsible for leading certain elements of a Business Continuity and/or Disaster Recovery project, including Business Impact Analysis, Risk Assessment, Disaster Recovery Strategies, Disaster Recovery Plan writing and development, Disaster Recovery Plan reviews and updates, and Disaster Recovery exercises. This role will report to a Principal Consultant who typically has overall responsibility for the entire project engagement, but the Senior Consultant must be able to work independently and maintain good project discipline to meet expected milestones and produce expected deliverables on-time. This position often works together with other Consultants on a project team, and must be able to work collaboratively and productively either in a solo or team environment, which may vary by project.
 
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
 
Must have one technical certification or equivalent from the below list:
CBCP or MBCP
 
LOGISTICS:
 
100% Remote Work position. Must be available for meetings in all US time zones between 9am and 5pm, but the majority of meetings will be geolocated to successful candidate's US-based time zone
