For five years, Indotronix developed core aspects of the Mobile User Objective System (MUOS), ranging from Waveforms to JTRS-AMF
Indotronix provided systems engineering, integrations, and information assurance services for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD)’s Mobile User Objective System (MUOS). MUOS is the DoD’s next-generation satellite communications (SATCOM) system, designed to provide voice and data communications for U.S. forces anytime, anywhere. Our client was a large global Defense firm that was responsible for the MUOS ground transport architecture which provides cell phone-like communications for mobile warfighters. Specifically, the MUOS waveform converts a commercial third-generation (3G) Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) cellular phone technology to provide a new and more capable UHF military SATCOM system.
The biggest challenge was making sure all resources had access to the required infrastructure and client stakeholders.
Our engineers were responsible for:
- WCDMA/SM/Wave Forms development
- eWFv1.3 software development
- PCR Manager Support
- Build Manager Support
- FPGA design and modifications
- SCA Modeling
- Hardware redesign to meet MUOS waveform standards
Our teams were engaged on the project for over five years, delivering more than $10.5 million worth of services to the client with all deliverables meeting specifications in the areas of Software-Defined Military Radios & Base Stations, SATCOM, Security Information Assurance, and Space Surveillance.
We delivered not only on the MUOS program but also on the JTRS-AMF, ATRS-HMS, and Future Combat systems.
