25 specialists. 20 milestones. One platform consolidating 15,000+ applications.
OVERVIEW
The project’s objective is to design and implement a standardized, secure, and highly automated AWS cloud infrastructure platform to support cloud-native applications at scale. It focuses on enabling efficient, governed migration of existing applications using modern DevOps and security best practices.
Manual cluster management and inconsistent security enforcement were creating significant operational overhead driving the need for automation and centralized control.
Business Challenge
A Fortune 100 Media & Technology conglomerate was operating hundreds of independently managed container clusters supporting over 15,000 applications creating operational complexity, inconsistent security enforcement, and governance challenges at enterprise scale.
The organization needed to consolidate these environments into a standardized, secure, and automated cloud infrastructure platform. The initiative required disciplined execution under a fixed-scope Statement of Work, with the ability to modernize applications at scale without disrupting business-critical operations.
SOW Scope and Objectives
Indotronix was engaged under a $2.5M SOW to design, build, and deliver a standardized cloud infrastructure platform supporting large-scale modernization and migration.
Key objectives included:
- Consolidating existing hundreds of existing clusters into a standardized cloud infrastructure platform
- Supporting the migration of approximately 15,000 applications
- Enabling centralized lifecycle management across clusters and applications
- Embedding enterprise security and governance controls by design
- Establishing a scalable foundation for future cloud and hybrid expansion
Each milestone includes clearly defined acceptance criteria to ensure predictable, transparent delivery.
Indotronix Approach:
Migration Factory for Cluster Consolidation: Indotronix designed and implemented a Migration Factory to enable the controlled consolidation of clusters into a single standardized platform. The Migration Factory provides automation, and repeatable processes to support low touch migration while maintaining governance, security, and operational consistency across all applications.
Centralized Platform Management: The platform integrates with the client’s enterprise cloud portal to provide a single pane of glass for cluster provisioning, onboarding, lifecycle management, and administrative control. Persona based access is enforced through Active Directory backed role based access controls.
Security Embedded by Design: Enterprise security requirements are embedded directly into the platform architecture.
Delivery Progress and Governance
The program is currently in active delivery and remains on track against the SOW. Thirty percent of the defined milestones have been completed and accepted, with remaining milestones progressing according to plan.
Delivery is led by a dedicated project manager and project lead, supported by architects and a global engineering team. Close coordination between US and India based teams ensures alignment with enterprise stakeholders while maintaining delivery velocity and quality.
